Description:

• Build lasting client relationships to understand their needs and ensure excellent patient care.
• Conduct physical exams, diagnostics, surgeries, and dental procedures with a focus on minimizing patient stress.
• Clearly communicate examination findings and treatment plans to pet owners.
• Maintain accurate medical records and follow hospital protocols.
• Stay current with veterinary advancements by attending Continuing Education (CE) programs.
• Mentor and support the paraprofessional team to maintain high standards of care.
• Represent the hospital positively in the veterinary community.
• Treat every pet as if they were your own.

Qualifications:

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited university.
• Active licensure in good standing to practice in Virginia (or ability to obtain).
• Professional appearance, strong interpersonal skills, and a friendly demeanor.
• Ability to make sound medical decisions and communicate effectively.
• Commitment to practicing high-quality veterinary medicine and upholding ethics.
• Surgical proficiency is a plus.
