Description:
- Build lasting client relationships to understand their needs and ensure excellent patient care.
- Conduct physical exams, diagnostics, surgeries, and dental procedures with a focus on minimizing patient stress.
- Clearly communicate examination findings and treatment plans to pet owners.
- Maintain accurate medical records and follow hospital protocols.
- Stay current with veterinary advancements by attending Continuing Education (CE) programs.
- Mentor and support the paraprofessional team to maintain high standards of care.
- Represent the hospital positively in the veterinary community.
- Treat every pet as if they were your own.
Qualifications:
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited university.
- Active licensure in good standing to practice in Virginia (or ability to obtain).
- Professional appearance, strong interpersonal skills, and a friendly demeanor.
- Ability to make sound medical decisions and communicate effectively.
- Commitment to practicing high-quality veterinary medicine and upholding ethics.
- Surgical proficiency is a plus.
