Qualifications:

  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited university
  • Licensure in good standing to practice in the state of Georgia
  • Professional demeanor, strong communication skills, and a positive, team-oriented attitude
  • Ability to make sound medical decisions and effectively communicate treatment plans to clients
  • Commitment to practicing the highest standards of veterinary medicine and upholding the veterinary code of ethics
  • Proficiency in surgery is a plus

Responsibilities:

  • Develop strong relationships with clients and provide high-quality medical care to their pets
  • Perform physical examinations, diagnostics, medical treatments, surgeries, and dental procedures
  • Clearly communicate diagnoses, treatment plans, and preventive health care recommendations to clients
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records and logs
  • Stay current with advancements in veterinary medicine through continuing education
  • Mentor and support the development of the paraprofessional team
  • Represent the hospital positively within the veterinary community and the general public
  • Treat every client like family and each patient like your own pet
