Description:

• Build lasting relationships with clients to understand their needs and wishes.
• Conduct physical examinations and perform diagnostic, medical, surgical, and dental procedures while ensuring minimal patient stress and discomfort.
• Communicate physical exam findings and treatment plans clearly to clients, educating them on preventative health care, vaccinations, and nutrition.
• Maintain accurate medical records and ensure compliance with hospital protocols.
• Stay updated with advancements in veterinary medicine by attending Continuing Education (CE) programs.
• Support and mentor the paraprofessional team to enhance the quality of care and client experience.
• Represent the hospital positively in the community and veterinary field.
• Treat every pet as if they were your own.

Qualifications:

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited university.
• Active licensure in good standing to practice in Pennsylvania (or ability to obtain).
• Strong interpersonal skills with a friendly, professional demeanor.
• Ability to make sound medical decisions and communicate effectively with the team.
• Commitment to upholding the highest standards of veterinary medicine and ethics.
• Surgical proficiency is a plus.
