Qualifications:
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) from an accredited university
- Licensure in good standing to practice in Maryland
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a positive, friendly attitude
- Strong decision-making and communication skills
- Commitment to high-quality medicine and veterinary ethics
- Proficiency in surgery is a plus
Responsibilities:
- Build rapport with clients and provide top-tier medical care to their pets
- Perform physical exams, diagnostics, surgical procedures, and dental care
- Communicate diagnoses, treatment plans, and preventative care recommendations to clients
- Maintain accurate medical records and assist in patient follow-ups
- Stay current on advancements in veterinary medicine through CE
- Contribute to the development of veterinary support staff
- Represent the hospital professionally in the community
- Treat every client like family and each patient like your own pet
