Qualifications:
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited university
- Licensure in good standing to practice in Maryland
- Strong interpersonal skills, with a professional and positive attitude
- Ability to make sound medical decisions and communicate effectively with pet owners and team members
- Commitment to practicing high-quality medicine and upholding the veterinary code of ethics
- Proficiency in surgery is a plus
Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain lasting relationships with clients while providing top-tier medical care to their pets
- Conduct physical examinations, diagnostics, medical treatments, surgeries, and dental procedures
- Clearly explain diagnoses, treatment plans, and preventative care to clients
- Maintain accurate patient records and ensure all logs are up to date
- Stay current on advancements in veterinary medicine through continuing education
- Assist in developing and mentoring the veterinary support team
- Represent the practice professionally in the community
- Treat every pet as if they were your own
