Qualifications:

  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited university
  • Licensure in good standing to practice in Maryland
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with a professional and positive attitude
  • Ability to make sound medical decisions and communicate effectively with pet owners and team members
  • Commitment to practicing high-quality medicine and upholding the veterinary code of ethics
  • Proficiency in surgery is a plus

Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain lasting relationships with clients while providing top-tier medical care to their pets
  • Conduct physical examinations, diagnostics, medical treatments, surgeries, and dental procedures
  • Clearly explain diagnoses, treatment plans, and preventative care to clients
  • Maintain accurate patient records and ensure all logs are up to date
  • Stay current on advancements in veterinary medicine through continuing education
  • Assist in developing and mentoring the veterinary support team
  • Represent the practice professionally in the community
  • Treat every pet as if they were your own
