Requirements:
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited university
- Licensure in good standing to practice in the state of Texas
- 3+ years of leadership/management experience, preferred
- 3+ years of experience as a veterinarian, required
- Professional comportment and appearance, with excellent interpersonal skills and a positive, friendly attitude
- Ability to lead a team through a variety of cases
- Respect for and willingness to work with clients and their pets
- Compassionate team player who can uphold a great reputation with clients
- Proficiency in surgery is a plus
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the ongoing evaluation and management of clinical practices and the delivery of patient care
- Monitor associate doctor performance and production
- Work alongside the hospital manager to drive financial performance, including revenue generation and expense management
- Communicate examination findings, diagnoses, and treatment plans to clients
- Educate clients on preventative care, vaccines, and nutritional products
- Maintain up-to-date client/patient medical records and logs
- Stay informed on new medical information and attend Continuing Education meetings
- Assist in the development of the paraprofessional team to ensure high-quality care and exceptional client service
- Represent the hospital positively in the community
- Treat every client like family and every patient like your own pet
